Landscaping With Texas Natives

Harsh winters and summer droughts wreak havoc on familiar plants.  Water bills show the rising costs of maintaining a typical lawn or garden, and you are becoming concerned about using chemical fertilizers and pest controls.  So, what's the solution?

Texas native plants!

Learn what natives do best; how to incorporate them into your existing landscape, or totally reconstruct your garden; how to attract wildlife.  Learn about organic maintenance and where to purchase native plants.

Also tour a TPWD certified habitat devoted to birds and butterflies through the use of native and well-adapted plants.  Be prepared for discussion; questions are welcome!

LisaGay is twice-past President of the Houston chapter of The Native Plant Society of Texas.
